The Atlanta Dream are activating former Las Vegas Aces’ center Iliana Rupert, the team announced today.
Rupert (roo-PAIR), claimed off waivers earlier this year, was initially drafted by the Las Vegas Aces as the 12th overall pick in 2021. While with the Aces, she averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 17 games.
Rupert recently spent time on the French National Team, helping them to secure their third-place finish in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket competition. The sophomore center churned out 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in four games.
Finally, Rupert has some previous ties to Dream players. She played with All-Star Cheyenne Parker on Virtus Segafredo Bologna during the 2022-2023 season and faced Rhyne Howard in the Serie A1 Finals.
